“An Appeal To Heaven Shield” (SOLD)
SOLD
This piece was a custom commission piece for a friend. It has a black, chalk paint background that has a ship lap feel. The shield is a to-scale wooden replica of the Spartan “apsis” shield symbolizing both the shield of faith as well as generational legacy. The pine tree is LED backlit and it’s made of old piano strings, aluminum and jute; harkening back to the early American “An Appeal To Heaven” flag. Each layer is held in place by copper piping and the badge in the bottom right hand corner is hand-stamped Deer tan.
